This covered baluster vase called KHABBYA in Moroccan ceramics' typology bears a rich stylized geometric and floral decoration (beautiful bright colors in blue, green and yellow on a beige to very light gray background)
Very good condition, but it should be noted a vertical fel starting from the neck of the vase, stabilized by a trickle of infiltration glue. The piece is complete with its matching lid.
Dimensions: 47.5cm high with its lid (40cm without) and diameters 29cm for the vase, and 18.5cm for the lid.
This piece comes from a private Parisian collection of 4 Moroccan ceramic pieces from same origins and periods: workshops of Fez, 2nd part of the 19th century, and includes 2 large KHABBYAS that can form a pair - the decoration differs slightly but shapes, sizes and color ranges of decoration are very similar, as well as a pair of BERRADAS pitchers.
Please check the last photo and my following annoucments for the 3 other pieces. Possible discount for combined purchase.
These ancient Moroccan ceramic pieces become rare to find, andoften broken and / or incomplete.
