"Transition Spring Commode, 18th Century "
Jumping Commode, Transition Period, 18th Century. It opens on the front with 2 Large Drawers opening with Superb Louis XVI Draw Handles in Chiseled and Gilded Bronze. The uprights are cut-sided ending in Pinch-Angled Feet and fitted with Chiseled and Gilded Bronze Clogs. It is in Violet Wood Marquetry and the Central Panel is in Marquetry of different Precious Woods decorated with a Pretty Bouquet of Flowers on each side of the Lock Entrances. It is topped with a Very Pretty Very Thick Marble, Black veined with Gray and White, with a projection to follow the shape of the Commode. It measures 124 CM in length, 77 CM in height and 52 CM in depth. It is in Very Good condition.
