Superb Late 19th Or Early 20th Shirvan Rug , Rare Decoration Of Stars On Diagonal Stripes
Superb SHIRVAN rug, Caucasus,
Late 19th or early 20th century.
It features a very rare decoration of diagonal colored bands decorated with repeated geometric patterns, each time framing a star.
Good condition of the carpet and very nice patina. No points of wear. A line of stopping points was made at both ends; the chains (on the sides) deserve a slight restoration.
