Circa 1880/1900 France for Morocco Panel or Caidal Tent in Lyon brocade for Morocco from the second half of the 19th century. Assembly of six panels of silk from Lyon, called Lustrine and produced for export to the Orient and in particular to Morocco. Fluted ottoman and silk satin brocaded and woven in silver and gold yarn in bright pink, blue, sky blue and orange colors. Panels edged with silk braid in yellow, pink and mauve trimmings. Lining in purple damask cotton sateen. Very good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: 239 cm x 278 cm Exceptional large panel or composite assembly specially made for a Moroccan Caïdale hanging or tent of prestigious provenance. A few rare stitches. Excellent freshness of colors and solidity of silk.
