17th century, Spanish colonial work (brought back by its previous owner from Bali)
The stuff opens onto a niche framed by 2 compartments closed by doors in the lower register; the 3 upper levels have respectively 2, 3 and 4 drawers.
The bronze fittings are superb and all original: side handles for transport, pendant sockets for all drawers, bolts and their clasps to lock the flap in the closed position, cabinet lock entry, hinges... The only part missing is the hasp allowing the burgueno to be locked with a key padlock.
The wood (a walnut-like teak, with many decorative darker veins) has a superb warm, orange-yellow color, very shiny patina.
Dimensions 71cm height * 84.5cm width and 36cm depth
