"Exceptional Pastel "zaria" By Emile Friant, Certified, Signed And Dated, Art-deco Era "
Magnificent original pastel of the Dancer Zaria by the famous Lorraine painter Emile Friant (1863-1932). A portrait of extreme finesse and always striking realism, the dancer in a nightie has very beautiful gestures with this hand delicately placed on her shoulder. The face is magnificent with this drooping look, this garconne cut typical of the 20s. Note the beauty of the colors with this golden hair against the backdrop of a starry night. Gorgeous. The artist's works are always of high quality but this subject and these luminous colors are rare and truly magnificent. We only find a few pastels by the artist, you will find in the last photos auctions in the room of 2 pastels which I think have nothing to do in terms of colors and interest. dimensions with frame: 33 cm by 28 cm, overall: 26 cm by 21 cm Original wooden frame with some gaps, without consequences. Work signed, dedicated to "Mr. and Mrs. Marc GUYOT" and Dated 1925. Note that the work has been authenticated by the Emile Friant association (AEF), which is included in its catalog raisonné in preparation. A large part of the artist's major paintings are exhibited at the L'Ecole de Nancy museum, place Stanislas in Nancy. Exceptional work.
