Ashtray in thick hot-formed citrine glass. Body animated with volutes in relief punctuated with inclusions of metallic oxides. Signature at the tip “Thuret". Around 1950. Good condition André Thuret (1898-1965) is a French master glassmaker. He first studied law and science. Fascinated by glass, he was particularly interested in the molecular modifications of glass, more precisely in the properties of glass after heating and cooling. These experiments with glass led him to become one of the most renowned glass artists of the twentieth century. Dimensions: Height: 5.5 cm Width: 13cm
