"Trumeau Mirror In Golden Wood, Restoration Period - Early 19th Century"
This trumeau mirror has, in the lower part, a rear glass occupying approximately a third of the surface. The upper part is decorated with an oil painting on canvas representing a man of the Church visiting the destitute. The latter, a family of farmers, prostrate themselves at the coming of this man. These elements, highlighted by a gilded wooden frame scalloped inside, are molded with decorations of shell pearls, foliage and plant compositions. The rear has an eyebolt to ensure perfect attachment to the wall. Interesting in its size, this gilded wood trumeau will easily find its place on a section of wall or simply on a piece of furniture. ******** Period: Early 19th century Very good condition. Later restoration on canvas.
