Trumeau Mirror In Golden Wood, Restoration Period - Early 19th Century

This trumeau mirror has, in the lower part, a rear glass occupying approximately a third of the surface. The upper part is decorated with an oil painting on canvas representing a man of the Church visiting the destitute. The latter, a family of farmers, prostrate themselves at the coming of this man. These elements, highlighted by a gilded wooden frame scalloped inside, are molded with decorations of shell pearls, foliage and plant compositions. The rear has an eyebolt to ensure perfect attachment to the wall.
