"Golden Wood Frame - Burgundy - 17th Century"
An important testimony to the Burgundian decorative arts of the early 17th century, this extremely rare frame in gilded and carved wood is distinguished by its large dimensions. Its relief decoration is also interesting. Indeed, to the profusion of plant motifs confusing vines, grapes and other foliage are added some animal figures, such as birds and snakes. Another particularity to note is the delicacy of the openwork vine branches.
