"Bronze Bass Relief"
A quality 19th century bronze bas-relief of a section of the Athens frieze. Perhaps by the Barbedienne foundry. The dimensions of the plaque are 21 x 31 cm. excluding frame and 42.5 x34 cm. generally. In a red and gold velvet border within an antique ebonized frame. A well-defined cast with a partial Greek inscription featuring John Henning who produced many reproductions of the Elgin Marbles. Excellent condition and good patina.
