"Noble Hand Painted Miniature From The 17th Or 18th Century, Blackened Pear Wood Frame"
This miniature was made on cardboard, it probably dates from the end of the 17th or beginning of the 18th century. It represents a nobleman wearing a wig, a rich costume. It is not signed, however it was beautifully executed, the quality is there. We report a suitable condition, note small gaps around the edges, friction, micro-scratches on the paint and on the protective tile, wear on the gilding. Note that there is no background. Please note, the frame is later, it is Napoleon III, unfortunately it is split, note a missing part, some rubbing and two regluings at the top and bottom. The whole thing really looks good.
