Black wood crucifix, gilded wood Christ, 18th century

Nailed on a painted black cross sat on a rectangular stepped base, this gilden wood Christ shows a baroque posture with a contorted body and raised arms. Head rests to the right on the chest, with a closed eyes face. Perizonium is made of a cloth held by a cord, with flaps falling on both left and right sides.

Excellent condition, patinated gilding.
