Short biography:
Aldo LONDI worked for a very long time for the Bitossi company. For her, he created more than a hundred ceramic pieces: vases, animals, candlesticks, jugs, etc. His most famous collection is undoubtedly the Rimini Blu line. An exceptional combination of glaze and layers of blue, in homage to the tones of the Mediterranean. Biography Aldo Londi was born in 1911 in the province of Florence, more precisely in Montelupo. He developed a passion for creation at a very young age since he joined a ceramic factory at the age of 11. He then followed an apprenticeship which unfortunately ended at the start of the war. Between 1935 and 1943, Londi was taken prisoner of war in South Africa. He then returned to Italy and obtained the position of artistic director within the ceramic creation company Bitossi, a job he held for 50 years! Londi is an essential ceramist, his works are regularly cited in art magazines and books. (Source DESIGN MARKET).
