"The Capture By Gaston Balande"
Very beautiful work by Gaston BALANDE (1880-1971) depicting villagers gathered to capture a cow which had probably escaped. It is a watercolor, gouache and charcoal signed lower left and measuring 46.5 x 65 cm (52.5 x 66.5 cm with its original frame). Some foxing, visible in the photographs.
