Circa 1860 France Beautiful needlepoint tapestry from the Second Empire period which can be suitable as a carpet or wall decoration. Polychrome wool stitch embroidery on canvas with a design of flowered boxes and borders in the neo-Gothic style in the Viollet-le-Duc style. Beautiful monochrome color typical of the interior decoration of the Napoleon III period. Fully lined with indigo percale from the same period (spots on the lining), with modern fasteners for fixing to a wall. No flaw. Very good state of color and conservation. Dimensions: 172 cm high by 106 cm wide.
