"Large Mirror By Peter Briggs 80cm Height Asymmetrical 1980s"
Peter Briggs, born in 1950 and died in 2022, was a renowned British sculptor and printmaker. The son of a botanist, he draws deep inspiration from nature for his works, particularly trees and their complex structures. In the 1980s and 1990s, he taught at the École des Beaux-Arts in Tours and worked particularly with bronze and cast iron. From 1996 to 1998, at the Manufacture de Sèvres, he created several sculptures using innovative enamelling techniques, applying colorless enamel and light colors by insufflation. His work is marked by a careful exploration of organic and mineral forms.
