Didagur mask collected in the village of Govermas in the Blackwater area in Papua New Guinea. This type of basketry mask is used during initiation ceremonies. The mouth opening allows its wearer to see. Frame and complex braiding in wicker, clay, feathers and remnants of natural pigments. Sold with a metal base.
