Tulip secretary or Biedermeier lyre in light wood burl. Opens with two drawers in the upper part, a flap in the middle part and three drawers in the lower part. The flap reveals a leather writing surface as well as an architectural light theater composed of drawers framing a false semblance of a Roman door opening onto storage. 2 secret caches are hidden in the door columns. The curve of the lower part rests on an inverted ogee "pedestal". The terrace rests on 4 small “eared” legs highlighted with blackened wood. Muzzle head handles. Made in the second half of the 20th century. Buff varnished. Dimensions: h161x90x47.
