Sauté chest of drawers from the Louis XV period, regional work around 1760. Large and beautiful chest of drawers from the Louis The piece of furniture opens with 2 drawers on the front, built on a resinous and walnut frame, it is inlaid on a walnut frieze background with different varieties of blooming flowers accompanied by their branches and foliage, these motifs which can be found on the front and on the sides are placed in well-moved scrollwork frames. The cabinetmaker who carefully crafted this piece of furniture used only native woods such as walnut, maple, boxwood, plum and green-stained maple to bring out stems, leaves and flower petals. The chest of drawers is topped with its original marble top, presenting an old restoration at the front right corner, this marble is a beautiful turquin blue, molded around the edge. This chest of drawers is in a very good state of conservation with all of its original frame, note that the lock of the bottom drawer is missing, all of the ornamental bronzes are original, this piece of furniture is offered in very good condition, with a buffer varnish highlighting the veins and colors of the wood. Due to its design and its veneer work, this chest of drawers is a regional work from the Louis France, with equivalents in Dauphiné but also in Doubs with the town of Montbéliard.
