A particular openable bar cabinet, designed and manufactured in Italy in the 1950s in the style of Gio Ponti, features two side panels that can be opened to hold glasses or other bar items. The front part opens, and the metal frieze becomes the foot of the table. This shelf can be used for preparing cocktails or as a support surface. The interior has a wonderful pink lacquer in original, very good condition, as is the entire bar cabinet. It's a superb example of Italian mid-century furniture.
