Terracotta Figurines By Jean Effel

Two rare painted terracotta figurines "Adam and Eve" after "The Creation of the World" by Jean Effel (1908/1982). Illustrator and press cartoonist, he had great success in the middle of the 20th century. His work “The Creation of the World” is emblematic of his style and his spirit. These two terracotta figurines with their original paint must have been produced in very small numbers because I found no trace of them. The print numbering space also remained blank under the two sculptures. The paint is original, the condition is good. Some small chips visible in the photos. The hollow stamp below reproduces the artist's signature followed by "original edition No France". Height of Adam: 15cm Length of Eve: 13.5cm. no edition number is mentioned. Full of charm for these two terracotta subjects, representative of the work of this endearing artist.
