"Charles X Period Dance Book"
Young girl's notebook. The dishes are made of burgau mother-of-pearl. The frame is very finely engraved bronze. The spandrels are chiseled with caduceus decoration. The cover centers on two winged young men on a butterfly-winged sphere. They support a crown which retains the word "souvenir". The interior of the notebook is lined with ivory-colored silk. It includes: an illustrated calendar dated 1828, the twelve months of the year, illustrated with putti, a collection of poems "the merit of women" by Gabriel LECOUVE, and a cardboard weekly planner. The mount is decorated with arabesques, swords, a quiver, a lyre, laurel branches, and a helmet. It closes with its stylus in the shape of a Roman sword. Dimensions: 10 cm x 7 cm
