Large pressed tortoiseshell powder box with the portrait of King Charles X.

The box is round, the edge is concave which is a typical characteristic of these boxes from the first half of the 19th century.

The cover presents the bust portrait of King Charles X with the title “Charles X King of France”. He is sideways, slightly turned to his left and wears an official costume with the ribbon and decoration of the Order of the Holy Spirit.
The back has a circular decoration of waves with a radiant sun in the center.

Magnificent box of good dimensions, testimony to the short reign of King Charles X during the second Restoration, from 1824 to 1830.
