François BOUCHER (1703-1770) "Animated farm scene" - Circa 1728 Sanguine on ivory paper, Inscriptions in ink on the reverse. 0.257 x 0.187 Rare drawing quite early in the painter's career, before 1730, most certainly executed during his stay in Rome at the Academy. The influence of the painter Le Moyne is still present there. This drawing is preparatory to the engraving made by Joseph Varin a few years later (see last photo) kept in the Louvre Drawings Cabinet (INV.19462 - Fond Rotschild)
