"Egyptian Tapestry "
Rare large Eyptoman tapestry from the end of the 19th century from the stairwell of a Yorkshire castle. We also have two other tapestries which constitute a remarkable decorative ensemble. In the 19th century, at the time of the relentless search for the sources of the Nile, these elements fueled the travel fantasies of high society. Mainly made in Egypt for the English and French aristocracy, they are a wonderful invitation to travel.
