"Buffet Two Glazed Body Renaissance Style, Library, High Showcase, Mascarons, Caryatids"
Very pretty buffet in two parts in Renaissance style forming a window in the upper part. The lower part rests on four feet. The front feet are lion paws. The facade opens with two leaves richly carved in strong relief and are decorated with two masks contained in cartridges. A large transverse drawer with a fun grotesque head handle tops them. The uprights are decorated with grotesques, the sides are decorated with a sculpture contained in a rectangular molding. The upper part is glazed on the sides and opens on the front through two doors also glazed and decorated with spokes of piastres. The uprights are covered with caryatids. The pediment is carved with interlacing, masks and shells on the sides. This buffet is made in the second half of the 19th century in the Neo-Renaissance style, very fashionable at that time. This piece of furniture is in good used condition and obviously has some wear.
