"Napoleon III Photo Album "
There you have it, a bourgeois family, in the 19th century as remembered in a photo album here, small in red leather with gold edges. Several generations appear, some prints very early around 1855, the majority under Napoleon III, and a few at the turn of the century. These small formats were called mignonettes. Nadar was the great distributor of this one, copied throughout Europe. What is interesting here is that the album (25 photos) is integrated, complete, and gives a sociological panorama without retouching, of a rather wealthy family, without belonging to the elite, of a French family with Nineteenth century. torn headdress, otherwise solid and in good condition.
