The landscape in question represents an evocative view of Riva del Garda, a town located in the northern part of Lake Garda, a popular holiday destination already in the nineteenth century, thanks to the enchanting landscape in which the mountains slide steeply over the lake, as well as reference for the meeting of famous intellectuals, such as Heinrich and Thomas Mann, Nietzsche and Franz Kafka.
The light that wraps the canvas, warm and bright, emphasizes the panorama, setting the scene in an atmosphere of pure romanticism.
The canvas is in excellent condition. Enriched by a valuable coeval frame.
