Superb Violet Ball Vase Montjoye Legras Art Nouveau

Superb polylobed ball vase etched with acid and enameled with a throw of rotating violets with their leaves gilded with gold with a brush. Very beautiful effect between the background made matte by the acid and the leaves left shiny enhanced with gold. The collar is also gilded, enriched with gold brushwork plumetis. Unsigned but referenced in the work "Legras Verrier" (Michel, Fouchet and Vitrat) pages 208/209. On the pontil, the numbers 8 in gold and 3 in enamel. Many violets, very beautiful enamelling, thick, very shiny... in perfect condition. Dimensions: Height: 18 cm Diameter: 20 cm Weight: 1.8 kg Very good condition. Some fine scratches from use inside.
