Revolver / pepperbox with Herman system, Belgium, circa 1850 Very rare model, production probably did not exceed 500 copies with numerous variants. Octagonal barrel, six-shot barrel, annular trigger. Marked J Herman D Patented for Jean-Jacques Herman, emeritus gunsmith in Cheratte, not far from Liège, from 1829 to 1855.Good condition. Steel, walnut stock plates. Supplied in a re-adapted old box and its two boxes of collector's cartridges.
