"Louis XVI Period Clock In Biscuit - Venus With Chariot"
Louis XVI biscuit clock decorated with Venus on her chariot, preceded by a pair of doves and behind which Cupid or Love joins her fluttering on clouds.The group is placed on a finely chiseled and mercury-gilded bronze base. The gilding is in an exceptional state of conservation. The biscuit terrace is also decorated with garlands of foliage and fruits in gilded bronze. The whole rests on 6 spinning top legs.
The period movement strikes the hours and 1/2 hours as it passes.
It has been serviced by our watchmaker and is in perfect working order.
