Pair of sculptures forming hunting trophies on oval wooden medallion supports. Nineteenth century. Representation of a woodcock and a teal (a type of small duck) in spelter after the animal sculptor Paul Comoléra*. Small restoration on the teal's beak. Very good state.
* Paul Comoléra (1818-1897). French animal sculptor, student of Rude and teacher of Jules Moigniez. Exhibited in Paris from 1947 until 1897. His work clearly represents wild birds and backyard fowl.
