Flint
H. 26 cm, length 6.5 cm
A monolithic flint sculpture cut symmetrically into lateral excrescences forming X-shaped crosses and topped with two stylised birds standing next to each other.
The eccentrics appear to have been used for ritual purposes: as offerings, divination aids (sometimes representing the god K'awiil) or ritual objects linked to the underworld, they were kept in highly sacred secret places.
