"Jacques Adnet (1900-1984), Three Hooks"
Three coat hooks by Jacques Adnet in wrought iron and covered in leather. Two hooks are in dark red leather and the third is in black leather. Good general condition, some traces of paint on the back of a hook as well as traces of wear on the leather. Dimensions: Width: 6.5 cm. Height: 14.5 cm. Depth: 8.2 cm. Jacques Adnet is a famous French decorator of the 20th century belonging to the Art Deco and Modernism movements. Architect, interior and furniture designer. Member of the “Company of French Arts”. He favors simple shapes and clean volumes. Its refined furniture is made from choice materials. From the 1930s, his designer furniture used new materials such as chrome metal and glass. Towards the end of the 1930s, he returned to more traditionalist manufacturing inspired by styles of the past. After the 1945 war, he produced a new type of furniture with simple lines, rather masculine, often in metal or leather and with a very good quality finish. Price: €300 for three
