Alfred Grévin is a French sculptor, caricaturist, designer and designer of theater costumes born January 28, 1827 in Épineuil (Yonne) and died May 5, 1892 in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. He is also known for giving his name to the eponymous wax museum that he founded with the journalist Arthur Meyer, opened in 1882.
