Tabriz rug from the Imperial Workshop of Master Hadji Alil, dating from the 1920s. Made of quality silky Kork lamb wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A brick red field decorated with garlands and scrolls of palmettes, stylized polychrome flowers and foliage decorated with two crenellated medallions and ivory and Prussian blue stars in the shape of stylized diamonds inlaid with multicolored flower sprigs. Consists of four bluish gray spandrels in the shape of crowns inlaid with ruby flower buds. Consists of five borders, the main one of which is beige decorated with finely drawn polychrome seedlings of flower bulbs surrounded by interlaced lace foliage In the shape of stylized turtle shells Density: approximately 7,500 knots per dm2 Dimensions: Length: 353 cm Width: 264 cm
