Raoul Larche, Loïe Fuller Lamp, Art Nouveau Bronze flag

Object description :

"Raoul Larche, Loïe Fuller Lamp, Art Nouveau Bronze"
Raoul LARCHE (1860-1912)
Lamp-sculpture depicting Loïe Fuller in gilt bronze, created by the foundry Siot-Decauville (sand casting technique of the period and original gilding).
The piece is signed at the base and measures 33 cm in height.
Note: This lamp is an artistic interpretation of the famous American dancer Mary Louise Fuller, known as Loïe Fuller (1862-1925). Renowned for her choreographies where she made her veils whirl, Fuller would spin on a glass surface illuminated from below and lit by lateral projectors. Enveloped in meters and meters of light fabric, she created luminous, moving forms on stage. Stéphane Mallarmé described her as an "intoxication of art and, simultaneously, an industrial accomplishment."
