Long Oak Commercial Furniture – Late 19th Century

This long piece of commercial furniture, entirely in solid oak, opens at the waist with four surface-mounted drawers. Their projecting facades are shaped like a diamond with turned wooden buttons. The lower part has two double doors with straight-cut doweled frames, chamfered with a square on the inside. These doors are mounted on lighters removed and fitted with original functional locks, hooks, wooden entries and keys. The interior offers two partitioned spaces, each accommodating a shelf on racks. The half-round uprights are also doweled at the top and bottom. In the center, a foot joins the upper and lower crosspiece. The top consists of two well-joined boards without composite filler elements.
