Sculpture representing *Louise Brongniart at the age of five in white marble after the model of **Jean Antoine Houdon XIX th. It rests on a molded pedestal in black-veined white marble (a few chips to the hair and bust) An identical terracotta sculpture signed Houdon and dated 1777 is kept at the Louvre Museum. (see photo) *Louise Brongniart 1772-1845 daughter by the architect Alexandre Théodore Brongniart. **Jean-Antoine Houdon born March 20, 1741 in Versailles and died July 15, 1828 in Paris, is a renowned French sculptor.
