"Porcelain Guanyin Called "chinese White" - China End Of The Ming Dynasty"
A "Blanc de Chine" porcelain figure of Guanyin.
CHINA 17TH
Late Ming Dynasty

This Guanyin is of high quality, and has all the characteristics of a fine Dehua figure. The figure is depicted in a particularly peaceful, fairly realistic and simple style, with her hair tied up and no headdress. The hands are particularly well-developed and the delicacy of the fingers can be seen. The glaze is creamy white.
