"Bronze Bust From The 1600s"
Cast bronze knob bust from the 1600s depicting a young boy with curly hair and a robe gathered around the neck ending in an oval section with a beaded edge. Probably originally in Italy used as a chest of drawers knob, a handle fixed to the front of the drawer via a threaded bar placed inside it which evidently broke over time and was replaced by two bars fixed to the tin-welded sheet metal on the base. In original patina. Northern central Italy 1600.
