Exceptional travel kit in vermeil and cut crystal from the house of Berthet et Peret 13 rue de Montmorency in Paris including; -a dozen crystal bottles and boxes covered in vermeil silver, Minerva 1st grade hallmark, total weight of silver approx. 320g and from the master goldsmith Charles-Auguste Perret, active from 1835 to 1861, around twenty toiletry, hairdressing and writing accessories , bone sewing, gilded brass steel such as razors scissors pencil holder inkwell brushes ect.. the inside of the lid houses an original mirror In good general condition, a damaged crystal box The box in rosewood veneer decorated with brass fillets gilded and transport reinforcements at the corners is in good general condition, a small slot on the lid, the lock bears the engraved signature of the house, without key, retractable brass side handles the box and the boxes are monogram "JM" length 32.5 cm width 24 height 16.5cm The house of Berthet et Peret cabinet maker and tableware manufacturer in Paris was active at 13 rue de Montmorency at the beginning of the Second Empire and remains one of the best suppliers of the working era around 1850 1860
