"Mid 18th Century Tripod Jug"
Reached today in its original form, this beautiful and rare brassware presents a bulging body mounted by brazing, resting on three cast bronze feet, representing hooves. A pouring spout with the head of a bearded man at its base created with "repoussé". The hinged lid is original, the thumbscrew forms a beautiful scallop shell, a turned fruit wood socket, inserts into a socket fixed on a cut-out plate. The interior is obviously tin-plated.
