Magnificent watercolor with doves by FEYERABEND Johan Rudolff known as Paul LELONG (1779-1814) Painter of flower portraits, watercolorist. Son of Franz Feyerabend, he practiced the same profession as his father and painted in gouache and watercolor, leaving in particular a landscape with a figure, preserved at the Basel Art Association. A Demolition of the Dance of the Dead in Basel, drawn from life, was engraved after him. He spent some time in France where he took the pseudonym Paul LELONG and left behind a large production of very delicate gouache still lifes.
