Oil on canvas depicting a bouquet of dahlias by Edmond Van Coppenolle (1846-1914). Born in Ghent in Belgium, this artist came to settle in France until his death. He began by working at the Schopin factory in Montigny sur Loing where he painted floral decorations and farmyard scenes on plates and dishes. Then he devoted himself to painting, taking up these favorite themes. Original canvas and frame in good condition. a restoration on the canvas but invisible on the painted side. Beautiful gilded frame stucco. very colorful and decorative painting. The canvas measures 92cm by 65 and with the frame the painting measures 117cm by 90.
