The case is rectangular, with rounded edges.
It is very finely engraved with flowers in the Art Nouveau style and applied with elements as is very often found on these cases.
On the front:
. A 14k gold number
. The first name Augusta in 14k gold, probably a transformation of the first name Auguste into Augusta, the final letter not being in gold
. The Helvetia figure as well as two Swiss shields in enameled metal
In the back :
. Two silver-plated automobiles.
These decorations are successively added and make it possible to identify the different owners and their centers of interest. We sometimes find cases completely covered with these appliques.
The interior is vermeil.
The case is hallmarked:
. Peasant's head in an oval with the title of 84 zolotnik (975/°°), used between 1896 and 1908 in Moscow
. Goldsmith's mark: Aк, perhaps for Alexander Krivovichev.
Magnificent case in silver and vermeil with appliques in gold, enamel or metal, testimony to a Russo-Swiss journey.
