"Sealing Seal - Wax Seal - Writing Object - Sculpture - Erotic Bronze"
Bronze seal with medal patina. Free interpretation of ''Pan and the Nymph''. The bust of the God Pan rests on an antique saddle on which ivy climbs, just like in his hair. The naked nymph evokes seduction, the reed flute ''syrinx'' lies at the foot of the column and a barely legible signature is present on one side (Carpeaux perhaps...), refer to photo no.5. The sculpture is precise but seems unfinished, imperfectly deburred despite the quality of the cast iron. Mid-19th century.
