Jacques Cancaret, intimate painter This intimate scene puts us, despite ourselves, in the position of voyeur.
It is through the open window and the arabesques of the wrought iron balustrade, certainly during a summer evening, that we enter the intimacy of an interior. Two women, elegantly dressed, sitting on armchairs, conversing. Their evening outfits tell us that a reception or an outing is being prepared.
A delicate painting with a soft palette
We can discover the detail of the interior decoration; wooden armchairs, plants and a painting adorning the wall. The colors are soft, with accents of almond green and pink
