Portrait Of A Young Girl In A White Dress Dated 1834

Full-length portrait from the Louis Philippe period depicting a young girl dressed in a white dress during a celebration (party, birthday, etc.) where this young girl presents earrings that have just been given to her! She is represented in an interior scene seated on a chaise longue sofa, she holds one earring in her hand while the second is in the case on the pedestal table. The decor is neat! A painting is displayed on the wall where you can see the strips of wallpaper with Restoration decor, a beautiful floral arrangement in a vase is positioned on the pedestal table. The artist has reproduced the reflections of the dress in silk or satin, the muslin sheer revealing the skin texture of the arms! This oil painting has retained its original canvas without restoration as well as its period gilded wood frame with palmettes. Dated 1834 and bearing the artist's AE monograms (bottom left).
