Hand painted with an underglaze cobalt blue decoration of two Fenghuang in flight surrounded by flowering peony scrolls, the base with a double circle.
Symbolism:
Phoenix (feng 鳳) and peony (富貴花) combined make a rebus for ‘May there be wealth, rank and good fortune’ (fugui jixiang 富貴吉祥).
